Curated by John Bunyard, a Maidstone United stalwart for six decades, The Magic of the Cup tells the Stones’ FA Cup story, culminating in this season’s history-making run.

The eight information panels can be viewed in the Maidstone Museums’ Foundation shop, which is located opposite HMV in Fremlin Walk. It is open from 10:00 to 15:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free.

The shop has hosted a small exhibition of Stones memorabilia since November 2022. It was inspired by the original exhibition – Maidstone: United in Football, which told the remarkable story of football and social history in Kent’s county town. Hosted at Maidstone Museum in late 2019 and early 2020, it attracted more than 20,000 visitors.

  • A book to accompany the original exhibition is still available from the club shop. A comprehensive history of Maidstone football, it runs to 256-pages in full colour and is packed with hundreds of stories and photographs.
