Maidstone United’s under-23s can make it ten wins from ten when they face Lydd Town on Tuesday night.
The Stones have made a sensational start to the season and remain the only unbeaten side in the SCEFL Development Eastern. Nathan Baker’s team have already netted 37 goals while conceding fewer than ten.
This will be Maidstone’s first game in three weeks, during which Margate have climbed back to the top of the table. They lead by three points but have played four more matches. Whitstable sit third, nine points behind the Stones, having played two extra games.
Tuesday’s visitors, Lydd Town, held Whitstable to a goalless draw last week. From their 12 fixtures so far, they’ve recorded one win, two draws, and nine defeats.
Despite the break, Baker’s side will be eager to pick up where they left off – a commanding 7-0 victory over Faversham Town.
With no first-team fixture this midweek, it’s the perfect chance to head down to the Gallagher and watch our title-chasing under-23s in action. Can they make it ten out of ten? Join us and find out.
