Maidstone United Under-23s play their first home league game of the season this evening – not bad for late October.

After four consecutive away fixtures in the SCEFL Development Eastern Division, the Stones are back on familiar (artificial) turf tonight as they welcome Whitstable Town to the Gallagher Stadium.

Those four away days yielded a perfect 12 points, placing Maidstone second in the table – six points behind leaders Margate, but with four games in hand.

The Oystermen sit two places and two points behind the Stones. From their five opening fixtures, they’ve recorded three wins, one draw, and one defeat. Their most recent league outing on 7 October saw them cruise to a 6-0 victory over second-from-bottom Lydd Town.

If you’re looking for a midweek football fix, head down to the Gallagher this evening and support the lads. You can find out who’s who on our Under-23 squad page.
