Maidstone United enter this season’s FA Youth Cup tonight, away to Ashford United.

The young Stones are heading to The Green Box Stadium for this first qualifying round tie.

The majority of Maidstone’s squad comes from the club’s football academy, with several players featuring in last season’s historic treble winning campaign.

Academy head coach Billy Jones is overseeing the team, alongside Alfie Pavey, Brad Brooker, Ben Macdonald and Max Macdonald.

Ashford entered the cup in the previous round, beating Chislehurst Glebe 4-1 a fortnight ago.

Tonight’s winners will be away to Welling United in the second qualifying round. That match will be played week commencing Monday 29 September.
