Maidstone United Youth hosted a tournament at the Gallagher Stadium for under-6s, with 25 teams from across the south east taking part.

Chair of Maidstone United Youth, Ed Spinks, said: “It was a great event, thank you to all the players and clubs that took part.

“We wanted to give players of that age a fun introduction to tournament football, and having it at the Gallagher made it a prestigious occasion for everyone.

“Thanks also to our coaches, referees, and the parent helpers who made the event such a success. Hopefully, this tournament can become a regular fixture in the pre-season calendar.”

Maidstone United Youth, which is run entirely by volunteers and funded through player subscriptions and sponsorships, is affiliated with the club and provides teams from under-7s to under-23s. The youth section’s main sponsor for this season is KD Drainage.
