The Under Stand Inn
With the help of our partners: iMUSC, Shepherd Neame and SEC Works Group, this work was completed last August and September. If you haven’t ventured down there yet, it’s well worth a visit. As well as the bar, there is some fantastic artwork featuring Stones fans and some key players from the recent past.
Food concession unit (1)
As you may or may not realise, the old food hut to the right of the GENCO Stand was no longer fit for purpose and needed replacing. This installation was completed earlier this season and with the help of our catering partners and volunteers has been through a re-fit. At some point early next year, the current pie hut at the Town End will be retired and where appropriate re-purposed.
Food concession unit (2)
A secondary food concession unit has recently been constructed to the left of the Genco stand. The unit has been moving through an installation and re-fit process and we are targeting our next home game on 21 December 2024 for completion and opening.
Away Bar – under the GENCO
With the help of Shepherd Neame and SEC Works Group, there will be further refurbishment to this area, which is ongoing and due for completion imminently.
The Daz Fab Tea & Coffee Bar – under the GENCO
Again, with the help of SEC Works Group, in house volunteers and one of our partner sponsors, Darren Stone fabrications, there is a new area serving tea, coffee, cakes and soft drinks. We hope this eases queuing in and around the ground.
Milling area – under the GENCO
With the assistance of one of our business partners, AG driveways, we have created an extra area with picnic tables for people to congregate. This work has now been completed.
Food concession unit – Town End
Further discussion is ongoing as the Stones Grill unit will require upgrade and refurbishment. Work will likely start towards the end of this season.
Toilet block – Town End
A new toilet block is on order, and it will be an improved spec to the one under the match day control room. Due to the slow planning process and staff sickness within MBC, the expected original milestone for planning acceptance was 2 December. This has been moved to the 12 December 2024. On the assumption that planning is approved we are realistically looking at an end of January completion.
Dug Outs
A new pair of dug outs were delivered in October and we have completed the sponsor panelling this week.
Changing Rooms
The changing rooms have not benefited from any love for a few years now so in tandem with some of our business partners we are potentially looking to refurbish through the Spring months.
Old Social Media Gantry
Some cosmetic and upgrade changes are planned over the next six months or so to ensure that this gantry is fit for purpose and can accommodate various media and radio teams.
