Here at the Gallagher Stadium, we are humbled by the commitment of so many dedicated individuals.
From those coaching youth and disability teams, to those managing the club shop, running match-day hospitality, commentating and reporting on games, and supporting behind the scenes in countless ways.
Bill Williams said: “The world would be a poorer place if it wasn’t for volunteers and we are very lucky to have some of the best at our club.
“I am always wary of naming individuals as you inevitably miss someone out, so to all those who give their time freely at Maidstone United I want to say a big thank you on behalf of the directors and everyone at the club.
Volunteers give their time freely. They bring their skills, their loyalty, and their belief in Maidstone United, often balancing work, family and other commitments, just so they can contribute.
On this International Volunteer Day, we want every one of you to know: your contribution matters. From the maintaining the pitch to the reporting on games, from youth training sessions to match-day logistics, your efforts build the heartbeat of our club.
Thanks to you, Maidstone United isn’t just a football club, it’s a community.
On behalf of everyone at Maidstone United, we say a huge thank you. We look forward to sharing many more seasons with you, and continuing to grow together.
International Volunteer Day, commonly known as IVD, is celebrated on 5 December every year. It is a day where volunteers are acknowledged and the spirit of volunteerism is promoted at the local, national and international levels.
