Maidstone United Under-23s make their first appearance in this season’s GoCardless Kent Intermediate Cup this evening.

The competition is for reserve, under-23, under-21, and under-19 teams whose first teams compete in the GoCardless Kent Senior Cup or Senior Trophy.

The current holders are Stansfeld U23s, who defeated Margate U23s in last season’s final at the Gallagher Stadium.

Tonight’s match sees Maidstone – currently second in the SCEFL Development Eastern Division – take on Cray Wanderers, the leaders of the SCEFL Development Western Division. The Wands have played seven league matches so far, recording five wins, one draw, and one defeat.

The Stones remain unbeaten this season, with seven league victories, although three of those were voided following the merger of the three development leagues into two.
