The Stones continued their winning start to the season with another Friday night win. They beat Faversham 3-2 in an entertaining game that sets them up nicely to go into their cup game with Cray Wanderers.
The Stones started the better side and could’ve been two goals ahead in the first 15 minutes with the Faversham keeper pulling off some fantastic saves. The breakthrough finally came after a well worked move led to Rodney Botuli finishing smartly at the near post.
The second half story remained the same with Darlington Aguagwa coming on at half time and getting himself another well earned brace to continue his own fantastic scoring form.
A frantic last 10 minutes ended with Faversham earning two goals back from a late penalty and a fantastically worked goal from the edge of the box. Thankfully the Stones held firm to take all 3 points.
