Cuxton 1991 will be playing their home fixtures at Gallagher Stadium when George Elokobi’s side are away.
The Medway-based club competes in the NRG Kent County League Premier Division – the same league Maidstone United played in at the turn of the millennium.
And if you’re not a regular away traveller, there’s good news: our tenants are offering Maidstone United adult season ticket holders a discounted entry rate.
Cuxton 1991’s league campaign kicks off this weekend with a home match against Stansfeld (Oxford & Bermondsey). Kick-off is at 2:45pm, with Turnstile 3 opening an hour before. The Spitfire Lounge and Town End Cut n’ Grill will be open for all league fixtures.
The other home games in August are:
Saturday 9 August, 2.45pm
Snodland Town Reserves
Saturday 23 August, 2.45pm
Kent United
Saturday 30 August, 2.45pm
New Romney
Maidstone United Director of Operations, Bob Gouldson, said: “We’d like to welcome Cuxton 1991 to the Gallagher Stadium for this season.
“As a club that’s benefitted from a groundshare over the years, it’s great to be in a position to offer our facilities to a team looking to climb the non-league ladder while their own ground undergoes planned works.
“From our perspective, it ticks several boxes – income from stadium hire on otherwise unused afternoons, additional beverage revenue, more hours for some of our staff, opportunities for our young players and so on.
“We wish Cuxton all the best for the season and hope their progress on and off the pitch goes to plan.”
