The 33-year-old has made a huge impact since arriving at Gallagher Stadium from Dagenham in summer 2019, and has gone on to play 124 times, scoring four goals.

Hoyte was made vice captain in 2020. When the then club captain George Elokobi was injured during the 2021/22 season, he stepped into the breach and captained the side to the National League South title. Hoyte took on the armband full time at the start of last season.

Sam Corne has been named as vice captain for the forthcoming campaign.
