The Stones had already won the National League Football Academy South Division and the National League Southern Academy Cup.
Today’s match, which took place at St George’s Park, the home of England Football, saw Billy Jones’ side win 1-0, courtesy of a first-half goal from Ashton Mitford. Opponents Chester tried to get back into the game but were denied by a resilient defence and Chris Swift in the Stones goal.
Head of Academy Billy Jones said: “It’s not often I am speechless but what these boys have done today is nothing short of remarkable. At the start of the season we wanted to improve on our fifth place league finish and have a go at retaining the cups. To do the treble is absolutely amazing and this group will go down in history for their achievements.
“These boys need to be celebrated, so we’ll get them down to the Gallagher for a first-team game next season and you can all congratulate them on their success.”
