Booty, who came through the youth ranks at Huddersfield Town, joined the Stones ahead of the 2021/22 championship-winning season, after being on the books at Aldershot Town, Notts County and Bradford Park Avenue.
During his two-season stay at the Gallagher, he made 80 appearances in all competitions and scored 18 goals. He also appeared for England C in a friendly against Wales C in March.
In addition to first-team duties, he threw himself into coaching – taking sessions at the club’s player development centre and soccer schools, as well as at Cornwallis Academy.
Regan was also head coach of the Stones’ under-18 and FA Youth Cup squads for the season just gone. The under-18s finished runners-up in Isthmian Youth League East and made it through to the second-round proper of FA Youth Cup – the best run for many a year.
Our thanks and best wishes to Regan and his family.
