Notty's Notes

Peter Nott 20 February 2010

After collecting 3 points against Carshalton last Thursday we have experienced the frustration of 2 home games being postponed. This was particularly disappointing as we were very keen to keep the momentum going but it has at least allowed myself and Tony to watch some of our future opponents as we took in the games between Waltham Abbey v Carshalton on Saturday and Margate v Billericay on a very cold Tuesday night.

We also kept tabs on our up and coming players in the Reserves as they played on Wednesday night and we also managed to get the 1st team squad together for a hastily arranged training session on Thursday after receiving the news that the game was called off. All in all another busy week and this weeks postponements will only add to an already congested midweek fixture list so let's hope the weather starts to improve very quickly.

We know we will need to be at our best tomorrow as Billericay will be in good spirits after a convincing 3-1 victory against Margate. The good news is that both Jay Saunders and Roland Edge have recovered from injury and will return to the squad and Tom Parkinson is also very close to making a full recovery, however PK will not be available tomorrow as he starts his delayed 4 match ban.

Hopefully you can get along to support the boys tomorrow and rest assured we will be doing our utmost to get another 3 points on the board!
